Your data

Export everything Carya holds about you, see what you agreed to when you signed up, and delete your account or take that agreement back.

Export everything

Open Settings and go to Your data. You own your Carya, and you can take everything with you. Export everything downloads one JSON file with your account, your pages and their content, Issue posts, messages, orders, visit counts, links to your files, your plan, and what you agreed to. It names the payments for a plan paid a year at a time through Xendit, with the seats each paid for on Teams; Polar keeps its own invoices. It leaves out passwords and payment keys. It’s on every plan.

Export as files

On Pro and Teams, Export as files saves your pages as HTML that opens offline, with their pictures and sketches, and your Issue posts as Markdown, in one ZIP. A page built from Pieces brings each of its sections as a file of its own, and the contact cards its buttons save. Export all your pages from Settings › Your data, or one page from its menu on Pages.

What you agreed to

Making an account takes two separate choices, each a tick box: accepting Carya’s Terms and Privacy policy, and agreeing to Carya storing your data with its providers in the United States. What you agreed to lists each in the words you saw, with the versions, the day you agreed and whether you signed up with email, Google or Apple. If Carya has no record of it, the list says Nothing on record.

Delete your account

Delete account takes your pages offline at once and signs you out on every device. 14 days later, Carya deletes your account and everything on it for good: your pages, their messages, orders and visit counts, your files and your plan. Carya asks you to type your email or the word delete first. Payment records at HitPay and Polar stay with them.

If you’re a member of a page someone else owns, you leave it, and images you uploaded to it stop showing.

Carya runs on providers in the United States, so it can’t keep your account without your consent to storing your data there. In What you agreed to, select Withdraw beside it. Carya explains what happens and asks you to confirm with Withdraw and delete account. You type nothing.

Withdrawing deletes your account the same way Delete account does: your pages go offline at once, you’re signed out on every device, and 14 days later Carya deletes everything. The same limits apply. Carya shows the day on the log-in screen.

Keep your account

Changed your mind? Sign in within the 14 days. Carya shows the day your account is due to be deleted, with Keep my account and Sign out, and nothing else until you choose. Select Keep my account and Carya works as before. Your pages stay offline until you publish them again.

If you withdrew your consent, that screen asks for it again, with the same tick box as sign-up. Signing in isn’t taken as agreeing: Carya keeps your account only once you tick it, and adds a new entry to What you agreed to. The one you withdrew stays on the list, marked with the day you withdrew it.
