Your account

How you sign in, who can have an account, what you can change, which plan you’re on and how to take your data with you.

Sign in with your email and a password of at least 8 characters, or select Continue with Google or Continue with Apple. To make an account, select Create an account and tick both boxes first: accepting Carya’s Terms and Privacy policy, and agreeing to Carya storing your data with its providers in the United States. On the log-in screen, Google and Apple only sign in to an account you already have.

Sign up with your email and Carya emails you a link to confirm it. Until you open it, you can make and edit pages, but not publish, invite people or connect a payment account. The Hub reminds you at the top of each screen, where Send it again sends a new link. Google and Apple confirm your email for you.

Forgot your password?

  1. On the log in screen, select Forgot password?, type your email and select Send reset link. You can also open carya.page/editor/forgot-password.
  2. Open the email and follow its link within 1 hour. A link works once.
  3. Choose a new password of at least 8 characters, then log in with it.

Your name and email

Change your name in Settings, under Account. Your email can’t be changed yet.

Age and parents

Carya asks for your date of birth when you make an account: on the sign-up form, or right after your first Google or Apple sign-in. It keeps only your birth year and month, not the day.

  • Under 13: you can’t make an account, and Carya doesn’t keep the date you typed.
  • 13 to 17: a parent or guardian confirms your account by email before anything you make goes live. You can make and edit pages while you wait, but pages and Issue posts don’t publish until they say yes. Carya asks for a parent’s email and sends them a link that works once, for 7 days.
  • 18 and older: nothing extra.
  • Selling and payments are for people 18 and older: connecting a payment account, taking orders through Carya checkout and buying a Carya plan.

A parent or guardian can take their consent back later, or ask for the account to be deleted. Taking it back returns the account to draft-only and takes its live pages offline. Asking for deletion takes the pages offline too, and Carya deletes the account 14 days later. Only the parent can call that off: they write to hello@carya.page from the email address they gave Carya.

Plans

Every account starts on Carya Free, which includes publishing your page. The paid plans are on Pricing. Upgrading from Billing opens soon.

Drafts are free on every plan. Pro and Teams also hide the Created with Carya badge. A page uses its owner’s plan, whoever on the team works on it.

Prices

Pricing and Billing show the price for the country you’re in. The Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong pay in their own currency, and everyone else in US dollars; Show in USD on Pricing shows dollars. A year costs ten months: two months free. You pay exactly the price shown, and a plan you pay for keeps billing in its currency.

Plans in rupiah for Indonesia, paid a year at a time by QRIS, e-wallet or bank transfer, aren’t open yet. Until they are, Indonesia pays in US dollars with a regional discount.

Teams seats

Teams is paid by the seat. Each person who can edit any of your team’s pages takes one seat, you included, however many pages they edit. Viewers don’t take one. Billing › Seats says how many you pay for and how many are taken.

Select Add a seat: Polar charges for it now, for the rest of the billing period, and it renews with your plan. To pay for fewer seats, open Manage billing. Fewer seats never remove anyone: nobody new can join to edit until the people editing fit.

Teams paid a year at a time through Xendit asks how many seats when you buy or renew it. Seats you add during the year cost only the days left in it, and count once they’re paid. They renew with the plan, and the renewal asks for next year’s count.

When a plan ends

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you paid for. However a paid plan ends, its features stay on for 7 more days. Carya emails you when it ends and again 2 days before the features stop, and Billing and Home show the day. Pay again before then and nothing changes.

On that day your account moves to Free. Your most recently published pages stay live, as many as Free allows, and your other live pages go offline and are kept as drafts. Every custom domain disconnects, and your yourname.carya.page addresses keep working. Nothing is deleted. Nothing comes back on its own either: Home lists the pages that went offline, to publish again when your plan allows.

Emails

Settings › Emails lists every email Carya can send you. Sign-in alerts and message emails can be turned off there, and the weekly Insights email turned on; the rest always come. Emails from Carya has the list.

Your data

Open Settings and go to Your data to export everything Carya holds about you, see what you agreed to when you signed up, or delete your account. Your data has the steps.
