Blocks
A page is a stack of blocks. Each block does one job, from a headline to a contact form, and publishes as plain, fast HTML.
Add a block
- Select a block on the canvas. The new one lands under it.
- Open Add in the tool rail and pick a block. With a section selected, choose Inside to put the block in that section.
- Edit the new block in the inspector.
Openers
| Block | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hero | A headline and subtitle with up to two buttons, and a cover photo, cover video, logo or avatar. |
| Navigation | Your logo or name with up to eight menu links. It can stick to the top as visitors scroll. |

| Link | Up to 50 links as a list, buttons or a grid. |
| Features | Up to 12 benefits or steps, as cards, a list or numbered steps. |
| FAQ | Up to 12 questions and answers. |
| Event | Date, time and place, with a map link, an agenda or speakers. |

Media
| Block | What it does |
|---|---|
| Image | One photo. |
| Video | A video you upload or link, with an optional poster image. |
| Gallery | Up to 30 photos as a grid, masonry or carousel, with an optional full-screen view. |
| Embed | Video from YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok or Twitch; music from Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Deezer, Audiomack or Bandcamp (paste Bandcamp’s embed code); a Google Maps map; or a Calendly booking page. Video and music, Spotify aside, show a cover with a play button, and the player loads only when a visitor taps it. The cover is the link’s thumbnail, copied when you paste the link, or a photo you upload. Instagram posts show as a link card. |
| Press assets | Files for press to download, such as full-size photos, a one-sheet or a logo. Each downloads exactly as you uploaded it: JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF. |

| Countdown | Counts down to a date. |
Layout
A Section holds up to 12 blocks and lays them out as a stack, two columns, a grid or a row. It also sets the background, padding and alignment. Split adds a section that starts with two columns. Sections can’t go inside other sections.
Show your podcast or blog
- Add a Feed block from Add, under Content.
- Paste your blog’s address, or your podcast’s RSS feed, into Feed in the inspector. Carya finds the feed a site names and shows its newest episodes or posts on the canvas.
- Pick how many show in Items to show: 3, 5 or 10.
Each item shows its title, date, a short summary and its artwork, and links to where it lives. A podcast’s newest episode gets a player, which plays the audio from your podcast host when a visitor presses play.
After you publish, the block stays up to date on its own: Carya checks your feed about once an hour while people visit the page, so a new episode or post shows without publishing again. Visitors with JavaScript off see the items as of your last publish.
Limits
- Up to 40 blocks at the top level of a page.
- Up to 12 blocks in a section.
- Images and videos up to 25 MB each, SVG files up to 5 MB.
- Press asset files up to 25 MB each.
Blocks publish as static HTML and CSS. A gallery carousel, a countdown or a form loads a small script, and only on pages that use one.
