Edit a page together

Invite people to your page and edit it at the same time, in a browser or on a phone. Everyone sees everyone else as they go.

Invite people

  1. Open Team and pick a role under Invite as.
  2. Select Invite people. Carya copies an invite link and shows it only this once.
  3. Send the link. One person can join with it, within 7 days.

Someone who opens the link while signed out sees whose page it’s for, then makes an account or logs in to join. The people you invite don’t need a plan of their own: the plan of the page’s owner decides how many people can edit it. Admins and owners invite people.

Roles

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerEverything, including deleting the page. A page uses its owner’s plan.
AdminEverything an editor can, plus sales, payment accounts, domains and the team.
EditorEdit and publish the page and every post, and read its messages.
WriterEdit the page and write posts of their own, without publishing.
ViewerSee the page, its Insights and its team.

An owner can make someone else an owner: pick Owner as their role and confirm. Carya offers it to them by email, and nothing changes until they select Become an owner on Team, within 7 days. You can withdraw the offer until then. A page always keeps an owner: the last one can leave only once someone has accepted.

Team works on a phone too, with each person on a row of their own.

Everyone who can edit counts, you included: owners, admins, editors and writers. Viewers don’t, and neither do your phone and your other devices. When a page is full, nobody new can join it to edit until there’s room, but you can still invite viewers. On Teams, each person who can edit any of your pages takes one seat, however many pages they edit: add seats in Billing. Moving to a smaller plan never removes anyone.

Up to 16 people can have one page open at the same time.
