Take orders

Show what you sell, then let buyers order on WhatsApp, pay through Carya checkout, or pay you with your own QR code or checkout link.

List your products

On a page built from blocks, add a Products block and pick a layout: grid, list or menu. Set the Currency once for the block. Each item has a name, price, description, photo and an Action for its button:

  • URL opens any link, such as your shop or an order form.
  • WhatsApp opens a chat with your number.
  • Email starts an email to you.
  • Anchor jumps to a section of your page.

The buttons speak your page’s language: Buy and Order on an English page, Beli and Pesan on an Indonesian one. Set the language in Page settings.

A product that comes with a template may start with a sample photo. Replace it with your own before you take orders: see Sample photos.

Sell from a page built from Pieces

What the page sells lives in Products, beside the page: each product’s name, price and currency, an earlier price, how many are left, a description, a photo, and whether it’s sold online. An Offer shows a product’s photo, name, price and Buy button, a Price shows its price, and any button can Buy a product under Goes to. They all read the product, so a price you change in Products changes everywhere on the page, and at checkout once you publish.

  • An earlier price shows struck through, with the saving worked out. It has to be higher than the price, in the same currency.
  • With Left in stock set, the price says how many are left at 5 or fewer, and Sold out at 0, when checkout takes no more orders for it. The number doesn’t go down as people buy: change it yourself, or leave it empty to not count.
  • A product still on the page can’t be removed from Products: take out what sells it first.

Take payments with Carya checkout

A product with a Buy button sends the buyer to a hosted HitPay checkout, and the money goes to your own HitPay account. Carya never holds it. On a page built from blocks, the starter page and several templates, such as Product drop and Warung menu, already have Buy buttons. The Action menu doesn’t list Buy, so to add another, select Duplicate on a product that has one.

  1. Open Settings and go to Payments.
  2. Select Connect HitPay and approve Carya on HitPay. You come back to Carya, and the row shows Connected.
  3. Publish the page. A Buy button charges the price on your published page, so a changed price counts after you publish.

Before paying, a buyer sees a short sheet with what they’re buying, the price and what you wrote under Before buyers pay in Page settings, then goes on to HitPay’s checkout.

Each page connects its own account. Owners and admins of a page connect it, and selling is for people 18 and older. To stop taking payments, select Disconnect.

When checkout can’t take an order, the Buy button says why, under it: the shop isn’t taking orders yet, it isn’t available right now, the product isn’t for sale anymore, or there were too many tries and the buyer should wait a minute.

On Free, Carya takes 10% of each sale through Carya checkout. Plus, Pro and Teams pay 0%. See How payouts work. Orders show up in Sales as buyers pay.

Every paid order is emailed to the people on the page who can see its sales: its owners and admins. When orders come fast, the rest of a burst comes together in one email. This email can’t be turned off. See Emails from Carya.

Take orders on WhatsApp

Add a WhatsApp block with your Phone number. Write a Prefilled message, such as “Hi, I’d like to order”, so the chat opens ready to send, then pick the button or bar style.

A product’s WhatsApp action opens the chat with no message. WhatsApp orders never pass through Carya, so they are free on every plan.

Get paid with a QR code

Add a QR / Pay block, choose the Method and upload your QR image from your bank or e-wallet: QRIS, DuitNow, GCash, Maya, PromptPay or PayNow. Add an Amount, a Label and a Note if you like, for example asking buyers to send proof of payment on WhatsApp.

Sell through HitPay or Polar already? Paste your Checkout link and the block links to it. These payments don’t pass through Carya, so Carya takes nothing.
