Take the photo by a window
You don't need a studio to photograph what you make. A window, a plain surface and a little patience do most of it.

Daylight from a window is soft, even and free. Put what you're photographing near it, with the light coming from the side, and switch off the lights in the room so the colours stay true.
Keep the background quiet
A wooden table, a plain cloth, a sheet of paper. The less there is behind your work, the more people look at the work.
Take more than you need
Shoot the same thing a dozen times: closer, further, from above, from the side. Keep the one that feels most like holding it in your hands.
Use the same light every time
When every photo shares one window and one surface, your page looks like one shop, even when you add something new next month.
